Mold Growth in Your Commercial Building

Mold is not something anyone wants to deal with. In fact, it's something they should never have to deal with. However, sometimes mold strikes and when it does, it's no fun. There are some ways to reduce mold growth and lower the risk of it growing in your commercial building!
What Causes Mold?
The key to mold growth is moisture. Mold can result from something as simple as an increase in humidity. Although that is not something we can control, there are other times when mold can grow but we can prevent it. Mold can be a result of:
- Leaking Pipes
- Leaks in the Roof
- Condensation
- Flooding
All of these have to do with moisture. To avoid mold growth, check regularly for leaks or flooding. Mold only needs between 24-48 hours to grow. By checking regularly, you are slimming the chances of allowing the mold to grow. To prevent condensation, if you keep the temperature of the building slightly warmer, condensation will not form.
